Bleak Law is the steepest of the southwestern hills. Although it is only a modest climb above the relatively flat plateau that dominates this area, being on its eastern edge of the plateau, it offers good views in that direction. There are some good tracks near its base to the south and west, but there is much thick heather to be climbed to reach the summit from this direction. From the east there is a private driveable track that climbs much of the way to the summit so this is probably the easiest direction of approach.
