Cock Rig dominates Kitchen Moss, the area of largely flat ground to the north, as well as offering fine views down to the North Esk Reservoir and West to East Cairn Hill, Wether Law and The Mount. Cock Rig is probably seldom visited.
Cock Rig is lies on few logical walking routes but is a worthwhile small detour on longer expeditions from the "Kips col" (NT 174604) to the Bore Stane (NT 144599) and East Cairn Hill.
