Harbour Hill is not particularly significant in itself, its summit being relatively flat after the short steep climb from cols to the ENE and SSW. Howwever, it does offer good views down the Glencorse valley to Flotterstone and across to Turnhouse.
Although it can be climbed on its own in an attractive short round, leaving the road past Glencorse reservoir at its northernmost point, Harbour Hill is better combined as part of longer walks over the summits of Capelaw and/or Bell's Hill.
