Patie's Hill 1

Patie's Hill is the last summit on the ridge running over Green Law and Spittal Hill from the "Kips col" (NT 174604) to the village of Carlops. Although the climb from the col between it and Spittal Hill is only 35m, the steep east and west slopes of Patie's Hill make it a fine viewpoint.

Various rounds starting from Carlops would naturally include Patie's Hill, although the short steep slope up from the village would make it a logical first summit of the day. A very pleasant short walk would drop back down to the North E Monks Rig to the village of Nine Mile Burn then back to Carlops along the minor road and footpath parallel to and a little to the NW of the A702.
