South Black Hill 1

Viewed from Scald Law, South Black Hill appears at first to be an insignificant outlier. Indeed, the drop of 18m between the two summits is the least of any of the Pentland Tops. However, the summit of South Black Hill is a fine viewpoint and has low stone windbreak. When seen from Penicuik, South Black Hill is a significant feature on the skyline.

South Black Hill is logically combined with a traverse of Scald Law and/or East and West Kip.
